The program addresses many of the skills and applications needed to transition from the Novice to the Journey Person competency level. It also complies with AIA NAS9945 “Airworthiness Engineering Training and Education” (2020) and its supporting child standards, which provide an industry-wide foundation for benchmarking airworthiness expertise and experience.
Explore the details of the military airworthiness standard MIL-HDBK-516 and supporting standards 14 CFR Part 21, DO-178, and Airworthiness Circular 17-01. It discusses how to construct designs that comply with each clause of the standard and how to demonstrate that compliance. Examples and case studies are provided.
Upon completing this course, students will be able to:
