The Aerospace Supply Chain programs from Caltech are uniquely compelling. Program design and delivery are in partnership with the Association of Supply Chain Management (ASCM), formerly APICS, and the Orange County Chapter of ASCM. You will experience the rigor of the Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Body of Knowledge delivered by ASCM Master Instructors. These highly qualified educators are aerospace industry operational leaders who held to the exacting standards of ASCM for training.
Three learning modules—Fundamentals of Supply Chain Management; Aerospace Supply Chain Strategy, Design, and Compliance; and Implementation and Operations—prepare you to be ready to take on the challenges your organization faces in this fast-paced and dynamic arena.
Upon completion of this program, you will be eligible to take the CSCP exam. With the CSCP designation, you demonstrate your mastery of the essential technology, concepts, and strategies related to end-to-end supply chain operations.
Module 1: Fundamentals of Supply Chain Management
In this module, you will understand the basic concepts in managing the flow of materials through the entire chain from the initial supplier to the end-user in different operational contexts of the aerospace industry. You gain exposure to leading practices from other sectors and state-of-the-art advancements in manufacturing and distribution.
Module 2: Aerospace Supply Chain Strategy, Design, and Compliance
Leading intensive supply chain operations requires a firm understanding of strategic choices, trade-offs, implications, and unforeseen consequences. This module focuses on strategic management and leveraging insights from external factors, such as market signals, network interactions, contested arenas, and industry forces at work.
Module 3: Leading Implementation and Operations
Prepares you for the execution expectations and hazards when operating in a unique environment with demanding stakeholders, including policymakers, regulators, military, industrial customers, and even the public consumer.
This program is ideal for mid-career supply chain professionals who have college degrees in business, supply chain, or engineering disciplines. Additionally, professionals transitioning into supply chain functions or are on embedded teams, such as finance, engineering, or technicians. Active military or veterans, with experience in logistics and operations, should strongly consider this certificate.
Organizations can further customize this intensive program for specific objectives or delivery requirements, such as timing, or sequencing. LASC is free from constraints of typical academic calendar terms, so scheduling options are flexible and can be tailored for location specificity for the US or abroad.
