Sempra Project Management Certificate Program
Powered by Caltech CTME
Creating the Next Generation of Leaders for Sempra Utilities
Originally designed in partnership with SoCalGas leadership, this Caltech CTME certificate program is now open to employees across Sempra companies. It builds a common, PMI®-aligned project language and toolkit to deliver safe, on-time, and on-budget outcomes in complex energy environments.
Why this matters for Sempra
1) One standard, shared playbook.
Aligns teams across assets and functions with practical, PMBOK®-based methods—improving handoffs, transparency, and predictability.
2) Execution that protects cost, schedule, and safety.
Focuses on planning discipline, risk anticipation, and early variance detection to reduce rework and operational disruptions.
3) A stronger bench for the projects ahead.
Develops project leaders who can scale delivery on capital, reliability, and modernization initiatives across Sempra.
Who it's for
Project managers, engineers, analysts, supervisors, and technical leads who plan, coordinate, or deliver projects across Sempra businesses, including SDG&E, SoCalGas, and Oncor.
