Joe Post

AI strategy, experimentation, and organizational adoption

Joe Post helps leaders turn artificial intelligence from a technical possibility into an organizational capability. His work focuses on the decisions that determine whether AI creates lasting value: which problems merit investment, how ideas can be tested before significant resources are committed, and what must change within an organization for adoption to last.

His perspective combines hands-on applied AI with more than a decade of experience leading digital transformation. Joe prototypes AI-enabled solutions, redesigns workflows, and tests product concepts, with an emphasis on applying AI effectively rather than developing models. His approach to AI strategy is pragmatic: start with consequential problems, separate genuine capability from hype, govern in proportion to risk, and treat adoption as an operating-model challenge rather than a software rollout.

As a product executive, strategist, and advisor, Joe has led the development and commercialization of machine-learning products and guided complex digital transformation and applied AI initiatives. His work has included Google, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Monterey Bay Aquarium, and the American Academy of Pediatrics, spanning organizations where successful transformation depends as much on governance, organizational alignment, experimentation, and operational capability as on technology.

Joe has a particular talent for bridging the creative and technical worlds, combining design and product thinking with an understanding of technology, experimentation, and organizational change. This perspective shapes his approach to AI: technology becomes valuable when people can translate new capabilities into products, experiences, workflows, and new ways of working.
Joe has been recognized six times as an Optimizely Most Valuable Professional, an international recognition for practitioners who demonstrate expertise and leadership across digital experimentation, strategy, and customer experience. His work in experimentation informs his approach to AI adoption, emphasizing rapid learning, evidence-based decisions, and testing ideas before committing significant resources.

Joe holds a Master of Fine Arts from the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts).
