Program Experience

The Caltech Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate Program is provided in an accelerated format through the use of hands-on examples and case studies. Participants are encouraged to bring challenges from their workplace to be addressed and to gain insight from the instructors.

All participants will receive a copy of The Certified Six Sigma Green Belt Handbook, published by the American Society of Quality.

This module describes the key activities and benefits of Lean Six Sigma.

 

Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC)

DMAIC refers to the data-driven improvement cycle used for improving, optimizing, and stabilizing business processes and designs. 

 

Lean Principles and Practices

Lean focuses on identifying waste in the processes and eliminating or reducing it as much as possible, providing greater customer value at lower costs. This module explains how to design and document processes and products to increase efficiency and reduce customer-perceived waste. 

 

LSS Project Management

This module provides a brief overview of LSS project management principles and practices to enable improvement projects be conducted efficiently and effectively.
