Dr. Rick Hefner brings over 45 years of extensive industry experience specializing in systems engineering, project management, process improvement, and leadership. Throughout his career, he has been a driving force in supporting organizational technology adoption, helping complex enterprises successfully integrate advanced engineering, software, and program management practices.
His background includes senior leadership roles guiding corporate process initiatives, technology transitions, and enterprise-wide transformation. Dr. Hefner has supported over 50 organizations across a wide range of sectors, including aerospace and defense, communications, electronics, academia, government, and the health sciences.
Dr Hefner is a prolific author and speaker credited with over 200 publications and presentations and serves on several professional working groups. He is a winner of the INCOSE International Outstanding Service award. Dr. Hefner earned his PhD in applied dynamic systems control from the University of California, Los Angeles, and holds both his MS and BS in interdisciplinary engineering from Purdue University.
